Moment Strategies, located in downtown Detroit, MI, is recognized as one of the top Public Relations Consulting firms in Michigan. The Firm specializes in crisis communications, public relations and issue advocacy. The goal of the Firm is to help clients develop and deliver an effective message that connects with the greater community’s needs, gains stakeholder buy-in, and makes an impact.

The Communications Director Position

The Communications Director is a key part of leading the firm’s efforts to serve clients, managing client accounts, and developing new business for the firm. Working closely with the firm’s CEO, the Director will shape public relations strategies for clients, lead client accounts, provide public relations services to clients, manage team members providing services to clients, and help develop new business for the firm.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, leading client accounts, providing communications services, providing client reports and updates, and developing proposals for new business.

Targeted Experience, Skills, and Abilities for the Communications Director

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field is preferred
  • 5 years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, or related field is preferred
  • Ability to anticipate needs and take on tasks proactively
  • High attention to detail and capacity to multi-task

Compensation, Benefits, and Structure for the Communications Director

The position is full-time and permanent with a competitive salary based on skills and experience. This is a hybrid position requiring in-office presence three days a week at a minimum. The position includes a well-rounded benefit plan including health insurance and paid time off.
