Momentum Communities is hiring A Groundskeeper for our Wellington Farms Apartment Community team in Columbia, SC.

Position Summary:

To preserve and maintain the physical facilities and grounds within the community so they are safe and aesthetically appealing to residents and prospective residents. The Groundskeeper will maintain all common areas and grounds of the community in a clean, attractive condition.

Job Responsibilities:

• Removes trash and remaining items from vacant apartments prior to starting the make-ready process, transfers trash to dumpster or storage area as applicable, and cleans and maintains storage areas.
• Pressure washing of breezeways and common areas as scheduled.
• The groundskeeper will work both in and outside of apartment buildings and in all areas of the property, including amenities.
• Ensures service is provided to residents in a prompt and professional manner.
• Follows up on work assignments for efficient, thorough completion.
• Inspects the entire grounds daily and removes all trash, debris, pet waste, etc.
• Keeps workshop or utility room clean, orderly, and safe.
• Read and/or listen to resident requests and complaints in a calm, respectful, and open manner.
• Maintain awareness of the condition of the property at all times, and take immediate steps to correct any unsafe condition.
• Maintains and handles grounds and maintenance equipment in accordance with Caliber safety rules and OSHA guidelines.
• Inspect and help coordinate all needed make-ready repairs and services. Assist service team to meet deadlines.
• Maintain professionalism at all times while representing Momentum Communities. This includes after an hour and weekend work, and any property-related functions.
• Report all major repairs and need requisitions to Service Manager, prior to any expenditure of funds.
• Completes assigned minor and routine service requests as requested by the Community Manager and/or Maintenance Manager.

Experience/Skills:

• At least two years of experience as a Groundskeeper
• Excellent people skills. Must be a strong team player with good communication skills and the ability to manage time and set priorities.
• Must be willing to work weekends and holidays when needed.
