The Opportunity 

We're seeking a dynamic and growth-minded leader to join us in the role of Corporate Development Lead to drive our growth strategy through mergers and acquisitions. You'll play a key role in our team, collaborating closely with other incredible and talented individuals.. About This Role at Momentum

As a Corporate Development Lead on our team at Momentum, your days will be dynamic and filled with opportunities to contribute to our mission. Here's a glimpse into what your overall responsibilities might look like:

  • Start your day by immersing yourself in the latest data and insights relevant to your role.
  • Work with Momentum’s leadership to develop and refine our M&A strategy in alignment with the company's overall growth objectives.
  • Proactively identify and evaluate potential acquisition targets, strategic partnerships, and investment opportunities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze market trends and identify opportunities for innovation.
  • Lead the due diligence process for potential acquisitions, working closely with cross-functional teams to assess opportunities and risks.
  • Conduct comprehensive financial analysis, including valuation modeling, to evaluate the financial feasibility and potential ROI of prospective deals.
  • Lead negotiations with target companies and stakeholders, and collaborate with legal and financial advisors to structure and execute deals.
  • Work closely with integration teams to develop and execute post-acquisition integration plans, ensuring seamless transition and realization of synergies.
  • Oversee the work of junior corporate development team members, providing guidance and mentorship to support their professional growth.
  • Cross functional collaboration with our partners at Momentum companies, empowering them with the support needed to deliver best-in-class solutions for our customers.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including investment banks, brokers, industry partners and potential target company leadership.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, emerging technologies, and market dynamics to inform M&A strategy and decision-making.

Qualifications

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Possesses at least 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Has demonstrated experience in corporate development, investment banking, private equity, or management consulting, with a proven track record of executing M&A transactions.
  • Demonstrates a proven track record of success in financial acumen, with expertise in financial analysis, valuation, and deal structuring.
  • Has a demonstrated history of being highly analytical and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Is a strategic thinker with the ability to translate business objectives into actionable M&A initiatives.
  • Has the ability to build relationships and work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Has experience leading cross-functional teams and driving projects to successful completion.
  • Excels in negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
  • Has a demonstrated history of leadership and initiative.
  • Can handle multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment, navigating ambiguity and remaining agile.
  • Is passionate in all things M&A along with building and sustaining successful businesses and making a positive impact.

The base salary range for this position may vary based on location. Actual compensation will be determined by role, level, and location, considering additional factors such as job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. For roles eligible for remote work, the base salary is tailored to the designated work location. In addition to the base salary, candidates may be eligible to receive a discretionary annual bonus, determined based on both the company's business performance and individual contributions. The People & Culture team will provide specific details during the hiring process.
