Job Title: Desktop Computer Support Technician
Location: ONSITE, 5 DAYS / WEEK IN Philadelphia, PA (19130)
Start Date Is: ASAP
Type: 4 month contract
Compensation Range: 22-24/HR W2 (W2 ONLY)
Job Description:
Responsibilities
- Installation, support, and maintenance of hardware, software and network components needed to support academic and administrative desktop computers
- Diagnose and correct desktop computing problems which may result from system failure, system configuration, system errors, operator errors, or operator inexperience.
- Build software masters for deployment to administrative and academic systems.
- Install new computers.
- Reconfigure old computers for redeployment.
- Move existing computing hardware (PCs, Macs, printers, scanners, etc.) to another site.
- Repair/replace equipment that is out of warranty.
- Work with staff/vendors to repair or replace equipment covered under warranty.
- Work with Network Staff to diagnose desktop computing problems.
- Attend meetings and complete project records.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two years experience supporting personal computers in a professional environment using MS Windows and MS Office Suite required.
