Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Tech Specialist to join our collaborative team. This role is vital in managing complex infrastructure tasks, providing advanced support, and contributing to global projects, including cloud migration and server upgrades. The ideal candidate will be a well-rounded IT professional with deep expertise in SQL Server management, CommVault configuration, and VMWare maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advanced Ticket Resolution: Handle and resolve tickets that Level 1 and Level 2 support cannot manage, providing expert guidance and solutions.
• Operational Lifecycle Management: Oversee the operational lifecycle management of various infrastructure products, ensuring they are up-to-date and running smoothly.
• SQL Server Management: Upgrade, patch, and consolidate SQL Servers, ensuring optimal performance and security.
• Cloud Migration Assessment: Participate in global cloud migration assessments to determine which servers can be transitioned to Azure, leveraging your cloud experience.
• Backup Configuration: Manage and optimize backup processes, including recent migrations to CommVault, ensuring timely and efficient backups.
• VMWare Maintenance: Maintain, upgrade, and patch VMWare environments, focusing on versions 2012-2016.
• Documentation & Compliance: Validate and document GxP systems, ensuring that all changes are properly recorded and compliant with industry standards.
• Collaboration: Work closely with a small, highly collaborative team, including experts in Citrix and other technologies, to achieve common goals without micromanagement.

Must-Have Qualifications:

• SQL Server Expertise: Minimum of 5 years of experience as an SQL DBA, with hands-on experience in upgrading, consolidating, patching, and fixing SQL Servers.
• CommVault Experience: 2-3 years of experience in implementing and configuring CommVault backup solutions.
• VMWare Proficiency: Strong experience in maintaining and upgrading VMWare environments, particularly versions 2012-2016.
• Documentation Skills: Ability to validate, document, and manage changes in GxP systems, ensuring compliance and accuracy.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

• Symantec Enterprise Vault Experience: Familiarity with Symantec Enterprise Vault for managing and archiving data.
• Cloud Expertise: Experience with cloud technologies, particularly Azure, to support cloud migration initiatives.
