Compensation Range: $40-$54/hr

Role Overview

Client is seeking a highly motivated Senior Financial Analyst to join our team in Westwood, MA. This hybrid role involves producing and developing annual budgets, monthly forecasts, and creating or improving financial performance reporting. The successful candidate will review and analyze project financials, identify discrepancies, and provide findings to management. This position requires strong analytical skills, financial modeling expertise, and the ability to support strategic planning and long-term business initiatives.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Produce and develop annual budgets and monthly forecasts.
• Create or improve financial performance reporting, including detailed analysis of budget versus actual spending and forecast versus actual spending for expense and capital projects.
• Review, analyze, and assess project financials, identifying anomalies and discrepancies, and providing findings to management.
• Provide financial and economic analysis to support strategic planning and other operating areas in their assessment of long-term initiatives and opportunities.
• Prepare reports and presentations for all levels of management, including the Senior Leadership Team.
• Create financial and economic models of various scenarios to assist with current and future business planning decisions.
• Participate in on-call emergency response assignments as necessary.

Must-Haves

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• 5-6 years of relevant experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Strong analytical skills and knowledge of financial and economic methodologies and theories.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Suite applications.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
• High attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and produce accurate work.

Technical Skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Suite applications.
• Strong analytical skills with knowledge of financial and economic methodologies.
• Experience with accounting and reporting systems like Power Plan and IBM Planning is preferable.

Soft Skills

• Strong problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships with business partners.

Nice to Haves

• MBA or advanced degree in Finance or Accounting.
