Position Title: Quality Technician

Position Summary: The Quality Technician will provide quality assurance by assisting the operations team, investigating defects, maintaining quality control processes, performing audits, and ensuring that products meet customer specifications.

Job Responsibilities

• Reviews design plans, process procedures, test procedures, and quality manuals to understand the scope, requirements, and function of products.
• Ensures products meet the quality and product integrity requirements of both the organization and the customer.
• Supports product development and operations team by providing analysis and expertise throughout the inspection and laboratory processes.
• Collaborate with production teams to identify and address quality issues, non-conformities, and root causes.
• Analyzes data to identify trends in product quality or defects with the goal of mitigating and preventing reoccurrence and future defects.
• Learns all aspects of the quality department and assists in maintaining consistent coverage.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Three years of previous experience in a quality assurance or quality control role required, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Three or more years of experience with ISO standards. ISO Auditor training would be a benefit.
• NDT Level II preferred.
• Microsoft word and excel experience preferred.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and interact with employees at all levels of the organization.
• Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Self-motivated and excellent problem-solving skills.

• Availability to work overtime and/or weekends as needed.
• Prolonged periods of sitting and a desk and working at a computer.

• Ability to walk or stand frequently and for prolonged periods of time.

• Ability to wear PPE (personal protective equipment) as required for the position.
• This position works mostly indoors.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
