About the OpportunityAs the Manufacturing Lead Operator at Monin, you will be responsible for filling in as a Manufacturing Supervisor during their absence and leading a team of machine operators to produce, bottle, and package syrups, purees, and flavors in accordance with Monin standards, Good Manufacturing Practices, Safe Quality Food requirements and FDA guidelines 

What You’ll Do

• Serve as back up to the Manufacturing Supervisor.
• Be Flexible and cover different shifts when a Manufacturing Supervisor is out.
• Ability to operator all same machinery as the Machine Operator Plus which includes changeovers, cleaning, and operator Preventive Maintenance.
• Lead effective interdepartmental meetings at the beginning of shifts.
• Monitor production schedule and line performance and take appropriate action.
• Report equipment concerns / repairs needed to maintenance staff on duty and record work orders in the maintenance program (CMMS)
• Communicate, collaborate, and coordinate effectively with Syrup, Maintenance and Scheduling teams.
• Monitor product quality and ensure activities are performed to quality standards, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Work Instructions.
• Record data daily for scheduled production jobs with 100% accuracy being the goal using an ERP system.
• Embrace and ensure housekeeping and sanitation of all manufacturing work areas.
• Identify training opportunities for operators and bring them to the attention of the Manufacturing Supervisor and Manufacturing Manager.
• Upholds and inspires adoption of company mission and values.
• Communicates actions, concerns, and updates.
• Ensures downtime tracking system data is accurate during shift.

Other Qualifications & Considerations

• Ability to set up, operate and maintain most manufacturing machines.
• Ability to stand, reach, walk, stoop, climb stairs and ladders, push, pull and lift and carry up to 50lbs
• Troubleshoot equipment issues, solve problems and implement corrective actions.
• Ability to learn and work on computers.
• Passion for working safely and ensuring a safe working environment for all.
• Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• Leadership and Teamwork.
• Passion for Food Safety, product quality and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
