Job Overview:

A leader in the metal working industry, located in upstate New York, is looking for an

experienced Chemical professional. The company is well established in the marketplace and supplies many of the world’s leading companies with metal processing fluids and other related industrial products.

The candidate will be responsible for:

 R & D on current and new products with a focus on safety, performance, sustainability and manufacturing process development.

 Maintaining lab equipment, documentation of lab activities, technical advice to co-worker and customers.

 Represent the company at customers, trade shows and technical meetings.

 Mentoring and leadership of lab staff

 Supervise quality control of finished products and approval of raw materials

 Interfacing with consulting staff, raw material suppliers and outside testing services

Required skills:

 Bachelor’s degree in chemistry

 Several years of experience in formulating metal processing fluids including lubricants,

cleaners and protective fluids

 Supervision and leadership experience

 Experience in good laboratory practice, process development, manufacturing and lab

safety

 Excellent communication skills including group presentations

 Proficient with Microsoft Office software

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
