Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Water Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will lead water damage restoration projects, ensure efficient and effective service delivery, and provide exceptional customer service. This position requires domestic travel up to 25% of the time, outside of Indiana, to perform mitigation in areas that suffered a recent disaster.

Working as part of a comprehensive restoration team, you will also have the opportunity to earn quarterly bonuses, based on performance, as part of a company profit-sharing plan!

Pay Range: $22 - $25/hour; based on experience

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Leadership:
  • Lead and oversee water damage restoration projects from start to finish, ensuring timely and high-quality completion.
  • Conduct thorough inspections to verify the success of mitigation and restoration efforts.
  • Technical Expertise: Perform water extraction, drying, and dehumidification processes using industry-standard equipment and techniques.
  • Team Supervision: Supervise and train junior technicians, providing guidance and support to ensure adherence to company protocols and safety standards.
  • Communication:
  • Communicate effectively with property owners, insurance representatives, and other stakeholders to provide updates on project status and address any concerns or questions.

· Provide empathy and top-notch customer service to clients while also sharing clear explanations of the mitigation/restoration process.

  • Damage Assessment: Conduct thorough inspections and assessments of water-damaged properties, documenting findings and developing restoration plans.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all equipment is properly maintained, cleaned, and stored.
  • Documentation:
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, including moisture readings, equipment used, and job progress reports.
  • Ensure all photos, information, and documentation are promptly added to the correct mitigation platforms.
  • Compliance: Ensure all work complies with industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in water damage restoration, with a proven track record of leading projects.
  • Certifications: IICRC certification in Water Damage Restoration (WRT) or Applied Structural Drying (ASD) is preferred.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in the use of water damage restoration equipment, moisture meters, and drying systems.

· Willing to be On-Call: (on a rotating basis) and respond to a water emergency 24 hours a day

  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift heavy equipment, work in confined spaces, and perform physically demanding tasks. *NOTE: This position may require working in challenging conditions, such as properties damaged by fire, water, or mold. Wearing PPE is required.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel domestically, outside the State of Indiana, up to 25% of the time.
  • Driver's License: Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record and willing to undergo and pass a background check (Felony- Free).

Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
