Monsignor Slade Catholic School, a Pre-K (2) through 8th grade school located in Glen Burnie, Maryland, is seeking a full-time Middle School Math Teacher. Our teachers are responsible for planning and implementing standards-based lessons as prescribed by the Archdiocese of Baltimore. This position teaches Math to 7th and 8th graders.

Essential Functions

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging math lessons aligned with school curriculum and state standards.
• Utilize a variety of teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
• Assess students' progress through quizzes, tests, homework, and other assignments.
• Provide timely and constructive feedback to students and parents.
• Maintain accurate and complete records of students' performance and development.
• Establish and enforce classroom rules and procedures to maintain an orderly learning atmosphere.
• Address and resolve any behavioral issues in a fair and consistent manner.

Position Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• Valid teaching certification for middle school mathematics in the state of MD.
• Prior teaching experience preferred
• Knowledge of curriculum, and principles and practices of pedagogy
