Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Rehabilitation to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our rehabilitation department, ensuring the highest quality of care for our patients, and leading a team of dedicated professionals. Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic plans for the rehabilitation department, ensuring alignment with the organization's overall goals and objectives
- Oversee the daily operations of the rehabilitation department, including staffing, budgeting, and program development
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based care to patients, in accordance with established standards and guidelines
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement comprehensive, individualized care plans for patients
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of rehabilitation staff, providing guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities as needed
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements, and ensure compliance within the department
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with referring physicians, community partners, and other stakeholders
- Participate in the development and implementation of marketing and outreach initiatives to promote the rehabilitation department and its services
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Current state licensure in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a rehabilitation setting, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
- SNF/Long term care experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of rehabilitation principles, practices, and regulatory requirements
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team-building skills
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic plans, manage budgets, and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Commitment to providing exceptional patient care and promoting a positive, collaborative work environment
