Our Wilmington, Delaware based homebuilding company is seeking a skilled Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management, accounting principles, and budgeting. Qualifications and skills

• Experience with accounting software (Sage or ECI-Mark) preferred
• Excellent understanding of accounting rules and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Advanced knowledge and experience with MS Excel
• Ability to work independently
• Analytical skills
• BS degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant preferred
• Construction accounting experience preferred

The successful candidate will be experienced performing the following:

• Bank Reconciliation
• Journal Entries of monthly loan interests
• Updating cash flow and permit summary on daily basis
• Recording A/R transactions and deposits
• Generating invoices of two condo entities
• Creating inter-company invoices from bank draws
• Creating revenue transactions from bank draws
• Creating monthly check requests and processing payments
• Assisting month end & year end closes
• Assisting settlement reports and entries
• Assisting cash management with disbursements
• Assisting A/P check process
• Gross receipts monthly/quarterly and 1099s
• Reconciling Purchase Orders and Work Orders
• Verifying and reconciling accounts payable and receivable
• Performing other duties as assigned
