Job Overview:
CASA Dorinda, a luxury retirement community located in Santa Barbara, California, seeks a skilled Director of Plant Operations / Maintenance to manage, plan, organize, direct, control, and coordinate Maintenance department employees and activities to provide the best service to our residents, while staying within the budget parameters, including facilities management, repairs, plumbing, electrical and safety. You will also work with our Project Manager on other general construction needs for the property, and supervise 13 employees.

We have a 48-acre property with approximately360 residents, as well as 300 employees. There is a Skilled Nursing Facility, Assisted Living/Memory Care center, Activities center, and Clinic, and a robust Food and Beverage department.

Requirements:

- A High School graduate or GED

- Three (3) years in a similar management-level position in a facilities setting is desired

- Knowledge of applicable regulations for construction

- Computer literacy in Microsoft Office, including email

- The ability to do basic mathematical calculations

- An understanding of basic Accounting principles
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal
- Must possess a current California Driver's License with a clean driving record

- Must be able to pass a Department of Justice background/security check
