Overview:
This Nuclear Medicine supervisor is responsible for the planning, managing and operation of the day-to-day patient flow. He/she is responsible for the smooth operation of multiple Nuclear Medicine sites including PET, inpatient/outpatient general Nuclear Medicine. The candidate must manage the workflow within fiscal limitations as well as the upgrading of technology and basic skills of all services. Position oversees scheduling and assigning of duties. The position may require collaboration with other Radiology managers to facilitate patient care.
Job Responsibilities:
Train the technical and clerical staff in the procedures and protocols related to established department protocols
Coordinate establishing all procedure manuals for the department and upgrades them with changing technology
Oversee all quality control and quality assurance of all equipment in the department including PET/CT
Coordinate with the administrator or assistant administrator regarding all personnel's civilities, such as disciplinary actions and departmental staff changes.
Education/ Experience Requirements:
Minimum 5 years leadership experience as a Lead or Chief PET Technologist
Masters in Public Administration, Health Care Administration or related degree (Preferred)
Graduate of an accredited NMT program
ARRT or NMTCB certified in Nuclear Medicine
Current NY State Radiologic Technology License in Nuclear Medicine
