Monterey Bay Recovery is looking for a Operations Manager to support residential clinical programs within our treatment center for substance abuse and dual diagnosis. The Program Director is responsible for providing management oversight and leadership guidance to assigned staff and for assuring that all programmatic functions are adhered to on a daily basis. This position will report to the Executive Clinical Director.

DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Leadership

· Oversees day-to-day operations of the program

· Provides program support to clients and staff

· Collaborates with Executive Clinical Director to arrange a team/culture building experience for program staff quarterly (or more)

· Handles crisis situations within the assigned program

· Administrative management functions

· Develops meaningful, trusting relationships with families by engaging and assisting in the treatment process , and personally communicating with them on a more frequent basis as determined collaboratively with senior management.

· Ensures smooth operations within program, including implementing an effective communication strategy to get each client to their designated group space in a systemic and sustainable manner.

Client Services

· Provides direct client services as required

· Leads weekly groups

· May carry a caseload at times when needed

· Coordinates resident treatment progress and discharge reviews by ensuring all continuum of care and ongoing treatment efforts are cohesive

Policy

· Educates assigned staff on program policies and procedures

· Assists in managing risk with the relevant facilities

· Monitor and coordinate budgetary oversight with Clinical Director, CEO and Finance

· Assists in client/staff remediation.

· Tracks and verifies client attendance of groups

Ensure compliance with Joint Commission guidelines

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

The minimum qualifications for this position are a bachelor’s degree in a related field (master’s degree preferred); 5-10 years’ experience in an alcohol/drug dependency treatment program familiarity with the 12-step recovery program, and if in recovery, a minimum of 3 years continuous recovery, a working knowledge of Joint Commission accreditation standards and demonstrated expertise in medical record documentation; excellent communication, problem solving and decision-making skills. Also a vast knowledge of DHCS.

REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:

o CPR and First Aid

o Current Chemical Dependency counseling certification from certifying organization recognized by CA DHCS such as CADAC 1 or 2
