Montgomery Advisory is Hiring a Lawyer/Associate - Property & Projects - 2-3 PAE - Sydney Near Sydney, FL

We represent one of Australia’s most pre-eminent national law firms, who is looking for an Associate to join their Property & Projects team.

The Team

Our client's Property & Projects team is amongst the leading Australian practices with the team working with clients on a range of transactions including property developments, capital transactions and land acquisitions and sales for development.

The team works on a variety of property transactions, encompassing a broad range of both direct and indirect commercial, retail, industrial and agricultural property transactions.

The Role

This position provides the opportunity to be exposed to A-list clients and an exciting portfolio of property transactions. As a valued member of the Property & Projects team, you will work with a motivated partner, contributing to the strength of a reputable Property & Projects practice and have the opportunity to develop and foster client relationships.

The team manages a variety of property transactions, including commercial, retail, industrial, and agricultural deals, both direct and indirect. Additionally, the team provides advisory services on easements, access rights, land titling, subdivision, governance, and compulsory acquisitions.

Requirements

The team are currently seeking someone who ideally has 2-3 years post admission experience and demonstrated knowledge on a range of commercial property matters.

However, they are willing to hear from more junior lawyers who can provide relevant pre-admission experience. The successful candidate must be an admitted lawyer.

The ideal candidate will have experience in:

  • Drafting a variety of property documents.
  • Negotiating contracts of sale, as appropriate to your level of post-admission experience.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of relevant legislation.
  • Exposure to capital transactions, including drafting and negotiating contracts of sale for commercial properties, as well as sales and acquisitions of development sites.
  • Conduct property due diligence for acquisitions and prepare due diligence reports.
  • Advise on easements and land subdivisions.

You will possess excellent drafting skills, enjoy a busy work environment and a collaborative teamwork culture. As a member of the group, you will have the opportunity to work closely with dynamic partners on transactions as well as working directly with clients.
