What You’ll Be Doing:

The Warehouse Operations Equipment Operator is a skilled equipment operator that performs work operating work order selector trucks, forklifts, squeezer and slip sheet machines to load/unload merchandise and move large quantities of alcohol beverage products throughout a warehouse, and to obtain stock from high storage areas within the warehouse.

As the Warehouse Operations Equipment Operator, you will:

  • Operate order selector trucks, forklifts, squeeze machines, and slip-sheet machines to move merchandise to designated areas.
  • Manually stack unloaded merchandise as necessary and manually replace stock that has been returned from delivery runs.
  • Check accuracy of product placed on conveyor.
  • Safely load (hand-stacking) trucks to prevent product breakage.
  • Fill warehouse orders by picking merchandise and transporting it to assembly points; replenish the picking lines.
  • Update the master case location file; maintain list of high turnover items and recommend movement to other areas to improve warehouse efficiency.
  • Take warehouse inventory; recommends replenishment of stocks or relocation of same within the warehouse.
  • Verify shipments to ensure orders are accurate.
  • Perform general warehousing and housekeeping duties as assigned.

To be a successful Warehouse Operations Equipment Operator, you must have:

  • Knowledge of established principles and practices of ordering, receiving, storing, inventorying and issuing items of supply peculiar to Alcohol Beverage Services.
  • Skill in problem solving to select, organize, and logically process relevant information to solve problems.

Additional Information:

The selected candidate will be required to complete a background investigation and a medical exam with drug screening.

This position MAY require work during non-traditional hours to include early mornings, evenings/nights, weekends, and holidays; may require work that involves physical demands, occasionally working in warehouse and/or retail store environments; and the ability to attend meetings or perform work at locations outside of the assigned facility.

To ensure a positive workplace and to comply with federal, state, and County laws, the incumbent is responsible for completing mandatory training within the first three to six months or within the specified timeframe.

Minimum Qualifications


Experience:
One (1) year of experience in general warehouse operations, including some experience in operating various types of equipment such as a forklift.

Education: Ability to read and write in English.

Equivalency: An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.

Physical Ability: Ability to occasionally hand move by lifting, pushing, or rolling single objects weighing up to a maximum of 165 pounds.

  • Warehouse operations material handling equipment.
