Montgomery County Intermediate Unit is Hiring a Human Resources Intern Near Norristown, PA
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program majoring in business management, human resource management or related field
- Familiarity with HRIS (Human Resources Information System) software is preferred
- Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications
- The ability to work as part of a team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent administrative and organizational skills
- Effective communication skills
- Detail-oriented
- Original certificates of clearance from the State Police, the Child Abuse Registry and PDE FBI.
- Assist the recruitment process with organizing candidates in on-line application system, scheduling candidates into interviews and assessments, conducting reference checks, and other necessary tasks.
- Assist with the new hire onboarding process including new hire paperwork, clearance/compliance processes (Act 168), data entry with new health benefit plan year, and creation of personnel files.
- Assist with the conversion of many internal HR procedures into the creation and testing of our Frontline forms ahead of them being released to staff.
- Assist in the HR personnel file project to re-organize/scan personnel files and other important documents in our office.
- Respond to staff inquiries regarding HR policies, employee benefits, and other HR-related matters
- Assist with other duties as assigned
Work ScheduleMonday - Friday, 35 hours/week during the summer
Hourly Rate$17.00/hour
