Description

An iconic Cape May resort hotel, The Montreal Beach Resort remains a favorite destination for beachgoers to the Jersey shore – and has been for over 55 years.

Come join a fun team with a fun culture while working in the beautiful Cape May environment! The property currently consists of our hotel, which boasts 70 hotel rooms, a locally favorite restaurant, Harry's Ocean Bar & Grill, and of course beach service. The resort is also proud to have Cape May’s only oceanfront liquor store – The Wine Cellar at Harry’s. The Montreal Beach Resort has recently been acquired by Madison Resorts, with plans to offer a complete renovation to this already beautiful property.

Summary:

The Chauffeur is an essential member of the resort team, providing a fast, easy, and valuable experience to our guests. This seasonal role requires a warm personality and enjoys socializing with random people. As a Chauffeur, you are responsible for keeping yourself and your passengers safe while transporting them between our resort and local stops around Cape May and the Wildwoods.

Responsibilities:

  • Know, understand, and adhere to company established policies and procedures.
  • Ensures guest interactions are always positive. Smiles with every guest.
  • Be punctual and have exceptional time management skills.
  • Performs pre-trip inspection of your vehicle. Check tire pressure and fluid levels for property vehicle and refuel as necessary. Notify appropriate personnel of any vehicle maintenance needs. 
  • Maintain contact with dispatchers and communicate if you have fallen behind schedule.
  • Report traffic concerns you witness for our other drivers.
  • Return vehicles to the property promptly after final guest stop.
  • Thoroughly clean inside and out and return keys the appropriate person.
  • Transport guests to/from assigned destinations using property vehicle. 
  • Document all trips prior to the start of and at the conclusion of each trip. 
  • Park vehicle in designated location when not in use. 
  • Inspect property vehicles for damage and cleanliness. 
  • Document all vehicle incidents (i.e., damages, accidents) and provide reports of incidents to manager/supervisor.
  • Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; complete safety training and certifications. 
  • Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards; anticipate and address guests’ service needs; assist individuals with disabilities; thank guests with genuine appreciation. 
  • Speak with others using clear and professional language; exchange information with other team members using electronic devices (e.g., cellphones, two-way radios, email). 
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with other departments. 
  • Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards. 
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Drivers must possess a valid driver's license and successfully pass a motor vehicle record check.
  • At least 21 years of age
  • Must be able to lift 40 lbs
