Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Growth Marketing Manager with a proven track record of driving customer acquisition and revenue growth in the education sector. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in selling to preschools, private and public schools, educators, and educational institutions/camps. You will be responsible for developing and executing innovative marketing strategies to expand our reach, engage educators, and drive the adoption of our products and services within the education community.

As part of our entrepreneurial team, you’ll be involved in a wide range of social media activities aimed directly at teachers, leveraging the unique opportunity of our upcoming PBS show airing in 2025 to enhance brand visibility and engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Growth Planning: Develop and implement a comprehensive growth marketing strategy to increase brand awareness, customer acquisition, and revenue within the education sector.
  • Market Research & Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to understand the needs, behaviors, and pain points of schools, teachers, and administrators. Use this data to inform marketing strategies and product positioning.
  • Campaign Development: Design, execute, and optimize multi-channel marketing campaigns (digital, email, social media, events, etc.) targeted at schools and educators to drive engagement and sales. This includes a robust social media strategy focused on Direct To Teachers engagement.
  • Content & Messaging: Collaborate with the content team to create compelling, value-driven content that resonates with educators, including case studies, webinars, white papers, and product demonstrations.
  • Partnerships & Collaborations: Leverage our partnerships with PBS stations and PBS Learning to drive traffic back to our website. Identify and establish strategic partnerships with educational organizations, influencers, and other stakeholders to expand reach and credibility in the education sector.
  • Sales & Revenue Generation: Actively participate in sales activities, including inside sales predominantly closed over email, with opportunities for commission. Support and refine sales pitches, tools, and resources that align with the needs of schools and educators, ensuring seamless integration between marketing and sales efforts.
  • Trade Shows & Events: Attend trade shows and other events, representing our brand at the booth. Engage with prospective customers face-to-face, promoting our products and services. This role requires a willingness to travel and enthusiasm for direct interaction with customers.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize data analytics to measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, track KPIs, and optimize strategies based on performance metrics.
  • Budget Management: Manage the growth marketing budget, ensuring cost-effective allocation of resources and a strong return on investment.
  • Customer Journey Optimization: Continuously improve the customer journey for educators, from initial awareness to conversion and retention, by identifying and removing friction points.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Education, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 5 years of experience in growth marketing, with a strong focus on the education sector, specifically selling to schools and teachers.
  • Proven experience in driving growth and revenue through innovative marketing strategies and campaigns.
  • Demonstrated success in building and managing relationships with educational institutions and stakeholders.
  • Preferred: Prior experience as a school teacher.

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of the education market, including key challenges, trends, and decision-making processes within schools and educational institutions.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms, including CRM systems, marketing automation, and analytics tools.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and storytelling skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas in a clear and compelling way.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data to drive decisions and optimize marketing strategies.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in EdTech or a related field.
  • Familiarity with education standards, curriculum development, and pedagogical approaches.
  • Knowledge of SEO/SEM strategies and their application in the education sector.
  • Preferred: Have been a school teacher.
