Registered Nurse
Duties:
- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing medical procedures, and monitoring vital signs.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
-Coordinates care with PCP and specialty physicians.
- Document patient information, including medical history, symptoms, and treatment plans.
- Educate patients and their families on healthcare procedures, medications, and self-care techniques.
- Monitor and evaluate patient progress, making adjustments to nursing treatment plans as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, as well as Virginia Department of Health protocols.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.
-Supervise and train Medication Technicians
Skills:
- Proficient in medical techniques and equipment.
- Knowledge of durable medical equipment (DME) and its use in patient care.
- Familiarity with aseptic technique for infection control.
- Experience working with the ID/DD population and ICF/assisted living facilities or similar
environments.
- Strong organizational skills for maintaining detailed medical records.
- Proficient in taking vital signs and interpreting results accurately.
