Position OverviewWe are seeking a Plumber/Pipefitter to join our Special Projects team in Northern Virginia. The Pipefitter is responsible for installing, assembling, fabricating, maintaining, and repairing mechanical piping systems. This includes working with a variety of pipes, such as steel, copper, and plastic, in commercial settings.

Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain pipes, fixtures, and other plumbing equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and building codes.
- Plan piping system layouts, installations, or repairs according to specifications.
- Cut, thread, and bend pipes to required angles.
- Assemble and install valves, pipe fittings, and pipes composed of various materials.
- Test piping systems for leaks using pressure gauges and other testing equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve plumbing issues.
- Maintain equipment, tools, and inventory stock on company service vehicle.
- Safely drives company vehicle, follows requirements of company vehicle driving policy and adheres to all safety requirements.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Plumber/Pipefitter or in a similar role. - 5 years preferred.
- Strong knowledge of pipe fitting techniques and procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
- Proficiency with hand and power tools used in the trade.
- Ability to fit carbon steel pipe.
- Ability to solder copper pipe.
- Ability to install screw pipe and victaulic pipe.
- Med Gas Certification is a plus.
- Backflow Certification is a plus.
- Physical ability to lift heavy materials, work in various settings, including confined spaces, working at heights, and in adverse weather conditions.
- Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record.
- Must pass a drug screen and background check.
- $30 - $50/hr. based on qualifications, experience, and skills.
- Company vehicle (take home), gas card, uniforms, tools, iPhone, and iPad.
