RequirementsBrief DescriptionJob Summary:Operates press and controls the printing process to produce high quality custom printed products. Utilizes the machine to meet or exceed estimating standards. Controls and minimizes material usage. Ensures equipment is running at optimum performance at all times. Works as a team player.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Follows and supports all departmental procedures and company policies
- Establishes personal goals to improve personal and departmental performance
- Plays a role in the execution of company goals that when achieved will accumulate into the fulfillment of the Company Vision
- Ensures that all jobs have marked samples, load tickets are correct and all job-related information is completed and processed properly
- Monitors their work to ensure consistent quality throughout each job
- Ensures all job-related information is completed and processed properly
- Follows departmental quality control procedures
- Uses all quality control tools at their disposal
- Consistently keeps paper stock usage under amounts allotted in the estimate
- Inputs accurate information into the data collection system
- Assists in teaching fellow team member’s new skills
- Improves systems and processes to increase productivity and cut spoilage
- Utilizes time to ensure that the highest level of production is achieved on a daily basis
- Ensures materials are present to limit down time
- Uses down time to improve run ability of equipment
- Communicates job and equipment related information to workers on other shifts
- Ensures maintenance is performed per manufactures procedures
- Keeps area and equipment clean and organized
- Keeps maintenance logs up to date
- Makes sure press is ready to perform at optimum performance at all times
- Informs supervisors of needed repairs and consumables
- Performs minor repairs
- Knows and follows all safety procedures
- Operates all equipment in a safe manner
- Is proactive and pushes proper safety habits on fellow craftspeople
- Ensures press and area are OSHA compliant
- Reports work related injuries to supervisor
- Controls tardiness and the number of unscheduled days off
- Works overtime when needed to satisfy customer demands
- Performs other duties as required

- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience as a Digital press operator
- Knowledgeable of substrate properties, such as Microns and GSM
- Knowledge of variable data
- Knowledge of measurement in millimeters
- Experienced in color
- Regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear
- Occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Must frequently lift up to 50 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus
- Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts
- Occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud
