Associates degree; a minimum of one to two years of related experience and/or training.
Knowledge of Health Benefits a plus

Responsibilities:
Maintain responsibility for accurate processing of benefits for current employees, new hires, and employees going through assignment changes, eligible dependents and retirees.
Maintain knowledge of the policies and procedures governing the district has contracted health insurance companies and plans.
Act as a liaison between staff, insurance brokers and medical plan companies to resolve issues concerning employee's coverage and claims.
Update changes to the medical plans as needs i.e. marriage, births, divorce, deaths, dependent changes as requested by the employees or required by the plans or collective bargaining agreement/board policy.
Supervises and coordinates the efficient workflow of the school system relative to the responsibilities of the supervising administrator.
Performs all secretarial/clerical and confidential work as assigned by the administrator.
Screens calls and inquiries that involve sensitive topics. Personally handles calls involving confidential or sensitive topics.
Supervises and assists in the preparation of all correspondence and reports emanating from the administrator's office.
Maintains the confidentiality of sensitive correspondence and information within the office.
Opens and processes all Human Resources mail.
Maintains a regular filing system, as well as a set of confidential files and processes incoming correspondence. Ensures that the material is properly marked, secured and accessible for immediate use by administrators. Assembles confidential material according to instructions, and prepares summaries of confidential documents.
Places and receives telephone calls and records messages for the administrator.
Operates all business machines necessary to complete reports and clerical work required in the operation of the office.
Maintains a schedule of appointments for the administrator and arranges for conferences, meetings, and interviews.
Prepares agendas, takes clear notes and handles follow-up activities as necessary. Makes sure the administrator has any necessary back-up materials needed. Prepares minutes when assigned.
Acts as a liaison between the administrator and other administrative staff in screening and routing inquires and requests.
Assists the administrator in compiling data and preparing reports required by law, administrative code and board policy.
Works with the Employment Specialist to develop the Board's Employee Relations agenda for each board meeting.
Communicates with administrators for receipt of agenda items.
Processes all new employees enrollment in benefits and addresses all benefits concerns and problems with existing employees. Handles all communications for Open Enrollment.
Works with the district's insurance broker to ensure accurate employee benefit information.
Maintains and handles staff tuition pre-approval and reimbursement forms.
Serves as staff liaison for changes in absences and/or updates.
Develops spreadsheets as directed by the Director.
Works with the Employment Specialist to ensure all leaves of absences are correct and documentation is accurate for paid and/or unpaid leaves.
Prepares the information for 25-year staff recognition.
Processes all purchase orders and budget for the office.
Works with Employment Specialist to complete mandated reports as assigned by the Directo
