Nurse Educator, Full Time

Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm

Established in 1904, Moorestown Visiting Nurse Association is a non-profit home care community health organization serving Burlington, Camden, and Gloucester counties in New Jersey.

We are one of the very few home care agencies qualified to provide a continuum of care for patients of all ages, no matter how serious the problem, no matter what stage of the illness. It is care we’ve been delivering to residents of South Jersey for more than 120 years, 24 hours a day. Our services, experience and exceptional people are what set us apart in the minds of our patients.

We are currently seeking a Nurse Educator to provide ongoing support and education for new and current clinicians to complete requirements or to update clinical skills as new methods and technology become available. We are looking for someone who has the ability to motivate and educate staff to adapt to new practice changes and adherence to the organizations policies and procedures. 

Responsibilities:

  • Develops and implements orientation plans for all new clinicians.
  • Assures that new clinicians are competent in skills needed to be successful in home care.
  • Serves a preceptor to develop staff.
  • Interviews all clinical applicants to assess their home care knowledge and orientation needs.
  • Collaborates with clinical management team to identify clinicians in need of remediation.
  • Assures that all clinicians are competent in clinical skills and in documenting in Homecare Homebase.
  • Maintains compliance with all state and regulatory bodies along with Moorestown VNA policies and standard operating procedures.
  • Drives to home care visits when orientating staff out in the field.
  • Perform various duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • New Jersey licensed RN.
  • Familiar with Homecare Homebase.
  • Highly organized and results oriented.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt to change.
