Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Billing Specialist to join our client's team on a temporary basis. As a Billing Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely billing processes, maintaining financial records, and resolving billing discrepancies. Your primary goal will be to assist the finance department in maintaining efficient billing operations and providing excellent customer service to our clients. This is a temporary position with an estimated duration of two months and has the potential to be extended based on business needs.

Responsibilities:

Generate and process accurate invoices for products/services rendered to clients.

Review billing data to ensure completeness, accuracy, and adherence to company policies and procedures.

Prepare and verify supporting documentation, such as purchase orders, and contracts.

Collaborate with internal departments, including sales and operations, to obtain necessary information for billing and resolve any discrepancies or issues.

Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments, ensuring timely collection.

Respond to client inquiries and provide excellent customer service regarding billing-related matters.

Assist in reconciling billing records with the general ledger and identifying any discrepancies.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date billing files and documentation for auditing and reference purposes.

Assist in analyzing billing data and generating reports to support financial analysis and decision-making processes.

Stay updated on industry best practices and changes in billing regulations to ensure compliance.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is a plus).

Proven experience as a Billing Specialist or similar role, preferably in a fast-paced environment.

Proficient in using billing software

Proficient in Excel

Strong numerical and analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.
