Core ResponsibilitiesAs Senior Property Accountant, you will be overseeing the finance and accounting functions for a diverse portfolio of commercial properties, including, but not limited to:

Core ResponsibilitiesAs Senior Property Accountant, you will be overseeing the finance and accounting functions for a diverse portfolio of commercial properties, including, but not limited to:
- Oversee all aspects of the portfolio's accounting cycle, including balance sheets, accruals, bank reconciliations, accounts payable, and HST reconciliations.
- Assist property management in creating monthly financial statements and analyzing variances for properties that have been assigned to you.
- Establish tenant prebills and create yearly operating budgets.
- Assume the role of primary liaison for routine operational inquiries with property management, leasing, and other pertinent divisions.
- Oversee the establishment of new tenants' leases and recovery plans.
- Help with year-end audits of operating costs and deal with ad hoc work as needed.
- Promote improvements to processes.
- Accounting Degree
- CPA Designation (advantageous)
- 3-5 years of experience in a similar position
- Experience within the real-estate sector is key
- Preferred experience with Yardi or other real estate ERP systems.
- Base Salary: $90 - $100K
