Morgan & Morgan's Learning & Development team is hiring an Instructional Designer to join their amazing team! Qualified candidates will demonstrate the ability to work with operational and professional training content, ideally in the legal industry. You will design curriculum and develop courses; evaluate course performance and quality; conduct iterative maintenance and be accountable for the success of training curricula. You will work with the analysis team, subject matter experts, and training managers to determine training needs and design in-person and virtual learning solutions. Successful candidates will be expected to create, manage, and support evaluation of all training courses and curricula within the scope of the role, while working in an energetic, fast-paced and strategically agile environment with multiple stakeholders and cross-functional partners.
Responsibilities
  • Partner with Subject Matter Experts and Stakeholders to plan and scope requirements for curricula.
  • Design, develop, manage, and maintain curriculum architecture to support operational roles.
  • Design and develop engaging, innovative, and effective training programs, which include instructor-led and eLearning training coursework that:
    • are instructionally-sound, applying research based adult learning theories.
    • clearly based on defined and measurable goals
    • are completed in accordance with project plans.
    • demonstrate best UX/UI and accessibility practices.
    • are high quality and consistent with approved style guides.
    • meet customer needs and expectations.
    • communicate complex learning concepts effectively.
  • Utilize e-learning authoring tools and other learning technology systems and platforms
  • Work with LMS admin to test and deploy your content.
  • Partner with a project manager and work within project management software to manage the day-to-day progress of work.
  • Provide 'train the trainer' instruction to facilitators of classroom training.
  • Supply design documentation, storyboards, and design mock-ups.
  • Partner with multimedia specialists to create graphics, video, and other media assets to supplement courses.
Qualifications
  • Bachelors or master's degree in Instructional Design, Adult Learning, or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years as an instructional designer producing development programs.
  • Working knowledge of content authoring tools, LMSs, and other learning technology platforms.
  • Working knowledge of visual design tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Must be able to provide a portfolio of recent instructional design work upon request.
