The Banking Group is comprised of a number of industry groups, which work closely with product team members in Mergers & Acquisitions, Global Capital Markets, Real Estate, and other industry groups throughout the Firm to provide relevant market insight, product creativity, and execution expertise to clients. These solutions include initial public offerings; public and private equity and equity-linked financings; mergers, acquisitions and restructurings; defense advisory assignments; strategic partnerships; public and private debt placements; share repurchases; and hedging, swaps and derivative transactions.

 

When clients need capital, Global Capital Markets (GCM) responds with market judgments and ingenuity. Whether executing an IPO, a debt offering or a leveraged buyout, GCM integrates Morgan Stanley’s expertise in Sales and Trading and Investment Banking, offering clients seamless advice and sophisticated solutions. GCM originates, structures and executes public and private placement of equities, investment-grade and noninvestment-grade debt and related products. The group provides fresh ideas and broad distribution to help clients get the most out of each stage of a transaction, and continually develops capital markets solutions to enable clients to mitigate strategic, operational, credit and market risks.

 

Our New York City office is looking for a Senior Associate or Junior Vice President to join the Equity Capital Markets team.

- 3-7 years of experience within Investment Banking or Capital Markets

- You have an ability to manage multiple projects, provide complicated financial analysis, and develop appropriate corporate finance solutions with a proven track record working on executed deals

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Strong client and interpersonal skills

- Commercial instinct and ability to perform under pressure and tight deadlines

- Bachelor’s degree is required; an MBA, CA and/or CFA designation would be an asset

- Series licensing or must obtain

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $175,000 and $225,000 per year for a Senior Associate, and between $250,000 and $275,000 per year for a Junior Vice President, at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
