Wealth Management Operational Risk Analytics, Reporting, and Governance team provides operational risk data analytics, executive reporting, framework governance, and committee management for 1st line Wealth Management Operational Risk and Non-Financial Risk.

 

Wealth Management Recovery & Resolution Plan / Non-Financial Risk Governance – Assistant Vice President

The role of Recovery & Resolution Plan / Non-Financial Risk Governance – Assistant Vice President entails a range of responsibilities in a team environment, focused on Recovery and Resolution Plan completion and Non-Financial Risk governance for the Wealth Management function. Specific duties will include:

  • Non-Financial Risk framework management, including governance material and metric management between 1st line committees and 2nd line operational risk monitoring.
  • Recovery and Resolution Plan preparation for Wealth Management, including communication across Firm-wide functions aligned to Wealth Management to understand vendors and applications supporting processes.
  • Performing business management needs supporting the Head of Wealth Management Operational Risk, including headcount management and ad hoc presentation preparation
  • Risk Dashboard material preparation and review for the Wealth Management Risk Committee
  • Assist other team members with operational risk metric analysis, Wealth Management Operational Risk Committee material review, and management of Governance Committee meeting management.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of risk management experience within financial services, preferably within the Operational Risk, Business Management or Internal Audit discipline
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Solid interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication 
  • Ability to work well within a team
  • Ability to build / maintain a network of contacts, and coordinate with many stakeholders
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite, emphasis in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills (critical thinking ability)

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $85,000 and $135,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
