The New Business Representative reports to the New Business & Renewals Department Manager and is part of the
MWG-International Division. The position a non-exempt, hourly role and is located at
75 Valencia Avenue, Suite 801, Coral Gables, Florida 33134.
GENERAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The New Business Representative will be responsible for processing new business applications for customers. The person in this position will need to have strong attention to details and the ability to communicate and educate clients and agents who may not understand the specific details of their insurance policies. Quick thinking and problem-solving skills are also required. To perform the job successfully, the employee must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. - Review new customer applications to ensure required information has been provided.
- Compile data for underwriting process of evaluation.
- Maintain compliance with Morgan White International policy issue and underwriting guidelines.
- Follow-up with agents' when incomplete applications are submitted to expedite process and not to lose the sale.
- Electronic delivery of all pertaining policy documents
- Maintain records of all policy issue correspondence for each client.
- Maintain professional demeanor and appearance.
- Demonstrate the ability to multitask and work in a fast- paced team environment.
- Read and follow the Company's policies and procedures
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: - High School Diploma or GED required. Associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of previous experience in the clerical field preferred.
- Excellent Computer skills as well as intermediate level knowledge in Microsoft Suite applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) required.
- Must exercise logic and common sense when confronted by varying circumstance or conditions not covered by established practices or procedures.
- Must be able to fluently read, write and speak Spanish and English.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT: - Must be able to perform in a very high paced environment and professionally handle interruptions.
- Must have the ability to work under minimal supervision.
- Must be able to prioritize projects, work multiple projects simultaneously, and meet project deadlines.
- Must possess excellent problem-solving skills and have keen attention to details.
- Must demonstrate strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and relationship building skills.
- Must be able to handle stressful situations appropriately.
- Must maintain confidentiality and privacy in every aspect of the job.
