```Job Summary:```

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for front and back office duties ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office. The ideal candidate will have experience as a Medical Assistant but certification is not required.

```Responsibilities:```

- Schedule patient appointments and maintain the appointment calendar

- Coordinate with healthcare providers to ensure efficient scheduling

- Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries

- Verify insurance information and obtain necessary authorizations

- Update patient records with accurate and current information

- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and billing

- Obtain vital signs, assist providers with patient visits/procedures

- Schedule procedures and obtain prior authorizations

- Perform phlebotomy, give injections, lab services to include specimen collection and handling

- Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations

```Skills:```

- Previous experience as a medical assistant

- Proficiency in using scheduling software such as eClinical Works

- Strong customer service skills with a focus on patient satisfaction

- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures

- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

- Familiarity with medical office systems and equipment
