We are seeking a positive, compassionate, customer service-focused team member for the Maintenance Supervisor position. Job SummaryAssists the Director of Engineering and Facilities in maintaining Menger Springs physical plant to its optimum functioning condition. This is a “hands on” position.
Responsibilities
- To inspect mechanical areas to insure proper functioning and maintenance;
- To carry out departmental safety program;
- To carry out the facility preventative maintenance program;
- To maintain inventory of parts and supplies at proper levels;
- To assist Director of Engineering and Facilities in refurbishing apartments when vacated;
- To repair complex mechanical and electrical components;
- To pick up parts and supplies as directed by supervisor;
- To maintain vehicles and golf carts;
- To deal directly with residents when performing service and repair functions in apartments;
- To assist supervisor in ensuring work orders are completed in a timely manner;
- To install and wire telephone panel for new residents and staff;
- To program telephone keyboard;
- To assist in monthly fire drills; and
- To follow Materials Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) requirements.
- Be available to pull call and respond to emergencies.
- Work with and cover for Courtesy Staff as required.
- Education: High School graduate or GED. Ability to speak, read, and write in English.
- Training and Experience: Minimum of three years experience in building maintenance to include experience or completed courses in electrical, plumbing, heating, and air conditioning.
- Certifications/Licenses: Valid Texas Drivers’ License. HVAC preferred.
- Job Knowledge: Knowledge of plumbing, boilers, pumps, cooling tower, heating and air conditioning and electrical as applies to various building codes. Knowledge of OSHA, federal, state, and city codes.
