DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
- Plans, organizes, directs and controls infrastructure and service desk activities under the direction of the Director of Information Technology. Ensures the streamlined operation of the Infrastructure and Service Desk teams in alignment with the business objectives of the hospital. The IT Infrastructure Manager is responsible for the operations of the technical and service desk staff, providing support to resolve user and /or systems-related issues and to ensure the Management of Information according to approved hospital policies and procedures, Federal, State & other regulatory standards. The IT Infrastructure Manager will assist the IT Director to plan, coordinate and design IT related activities of the hospital, as well as provide direction and support for daily operational activities of the IT Department. The IT Infrastructure Manager will work closely with decision makers in other departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement and support cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization. The IT Infrastructure Manager will also define and implement IT policies, procedures and best practices related to the hospital’s infrastructure and service desk functions.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Professional/Educational
  - Bachelor's degree in IT, MIS, Comp Sci or equivalent experience required. 10 years of IT experience required. Previous leadership experience preferred.
  - Strong technical knowledge of telecommunications, network and PC operating systems.
  - Strong technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols and standards.
  - Proven experience in IT infrastructure planning and development.
  - Excellent understanding of the hospital's goals and objectives.
  - In-depth knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
  - Strong understanding of human resource management principles, practices and procedures.
  - Strong understanding of project management principles.
  - Strong leadership skills
  - Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  - Excellent interpersonal skills.
  - Ability to conduct and direct research into IT issues and products as required.
  - Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language.
  - High level of self-motivation.
  - Keen attention to detail.
  - Proven analytical, evaluative and problem-solving abilities.
  - Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  - Exceptional customer service orientation.

  - Management, project management, hospital IT systems experience preferred.
