- DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
- The Staff Nurse is responsible for the nursing care of patients assigned to him/her and to direct others in patient care in the Cath Lab, Cardio Diagnostic areas, and may be assigned to assist in Cardiac Rehabilitation.
- QUALIFICATIONS
- Professional/Educational
- Current RN Illinois license.
- Completion of cardiac arrhythmia recognition course.
- Certified by the American Heart Association in Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
- ACLS Certification within 6 months of hire date.
- Two years of critical care experience preferred.
- Completion of a critical care course.
- DCFS Mandated Reporter Certificate of Completion required.
- Personal
- Works effectively with others, possessing tact, discretion and diplomacy.
- Demonstrates leadership and teaching ability.
- Possesses the ability to work under pressure and critically think.
