Morrison Container Handling Solutions is Hiring a CNC Operator Near Glenwood, IL
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Must be experienced with doing setups and part inspections.
- Able to set up CNC Lathes and Mills to run standard repeat parts.
- Understanding of specification of the task at hand and the desired result by reading blueprints, mechanical drawings, etc.
- Able to change out tools and inserts that have broken.
- Inspect finished work for accuracy using calipers and Micrometers.
- Make minor repairs, maintenance, and adjustments to machinery and fluid levels.
- Working with the machinist on new set-ups.
- Keep the work area clean and orderly.
- High School Diploma required
- 1 years experience operating CNC equipment (Mazak highly preferred).
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds and maintain demanding physical operations throughout the workday.
- Attitude: Strong desire to succeed as part of a team; interest in contributing to positive company culture; willingness to persist until the job is done right for the customer and embrace the Morrison “Support Built In” philosophy.
- Mechanical Skills: Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance; committed to the safe operation of machinery.
- Technical Skills: Ability to read blueprints, drawings and analyze such plans for proper use.
- Attention to Detail: Operation requires constant management of minute details; small errors can be extremely costly, both in money and time and across multiple departments.
- Organization: Strong ability to multi-task; and meticulous organization is essential.
- Computer Skills: Ability to navigate and use a desktop computer, including internet browsers, and manage email.
- Math Skills: Knowledge of basic arithmetic.
- Stamina: CNC operators may be asked to work long hours doing manual work.
