Job Summary: Responsible for the periodic and accurate counting of warehouse inventory to ensure that all materials are properly verified and are reflective of reported inventory, and to help control errors and will ensure that customer orders are on time and complete. The cycle counter will also assist the Quality Control Manager with additional assignments as needed. Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for the accurate checking or counting of all products for both inbound and outbound freight, and for ensuring all product is free of damage and infestation and production code dates are properly recorded.
Ensure the quantity, quality, labeling, and addressing of orders corresponds to customer specifications and/ or other requirements.
Research all inventory location problems (inventory errors, etc)
Research shipping errors and complete validation.
Assist in determining root causes on inventory discrepancies and help implement corrective actions to eliminate.
Responsible for any areas (including inbound, picking, outbounds, etc) requiring additional lift operator-related task assistance.
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or Equivalent, preferred
6 months warehousing/ material handling experience, preferred
Prior forklift experience
Skills and Abilities:
Must be able to carefully and safely utilize warehouse equipment.
Must be able to work in a fast paced environment.
Must be able to work in a team as well as independently.
Basic PC knowledge.
Perform different job functions within the organizations warehouse department.
Must be able to follow procedures, best practices and report unsafe and unprofessional behavior.
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to bend, squat, sit, stand, walk, crawl, work in tight spaces and handle objects. The employee is occasionally required to push/pull, stack, reach above shoulder level or carry materials up to 50 lbs.
