Currently, the Buildings, Technology and Energy division requires a Mechanical Designer to join our growing Atlanta team.
Responsibilities: - Design - Performs mechanical engineering work (design, CAD and Revit) related to vertical infrastructure, specifically in the areas of Mechanical Systems, i.e. HVAC, plumbing and fire protection
- Prepares contract drawings and specifications in conjunction with project team for delivery to client
- Documents study progress/results through the preparation of memos, minutes and reports as a record of events
- Liaises with clients to exchange information re: project progress
- Use Revit to create and maintain building mechanical models, drawings and schedules
- Develop designs which meet client requirements and adhere to a high standard of form, fit, function, appearance and quality
- Identify discrepancies in drawings and information and resolve through appropriate methods and channels
- Prepares site visit reports by interpreting findings to give clear recommendations and direction to clients
- Reviews shop drawings and design details by analyzing for continuity and viability
Qualifications: - Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology or equivalent education
- Minimum 4 years in Revit operation and design working on building projects
- Advanced knowledge of Revit MEP
- Interest in buildings, commissioning, energy management, sustainability and construction
- Strong demonstrated written and oral communication skills in English
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to handle multiple projects with the ability to effectively prioritize
- Strong relationship and interpersonal skills required
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment with a strong customer service commitment

Morrison Hershfield considers various elements when determining a candidate's compensation offer. Each offer will be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, location, experience, future potential, education, skills, and internal equity.

Market Rate: $73,500
Maximum: $95,000
