Position Name:

Installation Team Lead

Position Summary:

The Morrison Millwork Installation Team Lead is responsible for managing the installation process by supervising the installation team and physical worksites, facilitating continuous training and development opportunities for the installation team. The Installation Team Lead ensures excellent customer service and guarantees long lasting customers through making sure of the team’s consistent quality workmanship. The Installation Team Lead must maintain a strong working knowledge of all industry standards and practices as well as the company's products and services to support the organization and customers well.

Essential Roles:

  • Servicing Customers: Provide courteous, caring, considerate service and always do what is right. Consistently communicate project information with the Master Scheduler, sales reps, and installation team.
  • Team Leadership, Education, and Training: Develop installation team members to perform quality installations; assist in hiring process for team; maintain learning culture. 
  • Continuing Education: work to be fluent in Morrison Millwork’s product portfolio and participate in ongoing professional and industry development as it relates to proper installation methods.

Accountabilities:

  • Supervise installation team member by training, coaching and facilitating continuous learning opportunities for the team. 
  • Communicates with co-workers and customers throughout the installation process.
  • Works closely with sales team to resolve customer complaints and questions about installations.
  • Performs various walkthroughs of installation work sites pre, during and post-installation.
  • Communicate with Warehouse Manager regarding what materials are needed for each job and when needed.
  • Assists with installations. 
  • Assist in developing and maintaining operational processes to promote worksite safety that meets OSHA compliance standard.
  • Communicates post-install service needs accurately to Service team.

Other Position Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business, Administration, or related field or 3 years of construction management experience.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Clean driving record with minimal moving violations.
  • Must pass a background check and drug test.
  • Previous supervisory/management experience preferred.
  • Strong window and door industry knowledge required.
  • Superior knowledge of general construction.
  • Ability to install, repair, service, test and troubleshoot equipment. 
  • Must be able to read blueprints and diagrams.
  • Familiarity with inventory software and Microsoft Office applications. 
  • Strong creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Disciplined, dependable, and resourceful.
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time and bend, stoop, and lift regularly.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Ability to travel daily. Coverage area includes Metro Charlotte area and all other MMW territories.
