MOSA is always seeking experienced organic inspectors. Most of our inspectors receive their formal training through relevant International Organic Inspectors Association (IOIA) courses and gain direct experience through an apprenticeship with a trained inspector. MOSA requires that inspectors conduct a minimum of 10 inspections per year. Organic inspectors will be asked to conduct annual, additional, and expedited inspections in their particular area or region. This is a contract position and inspectors are responsible for their own expenses (office supplies, equipment, internet access, liability insurance etc.). MOSA sends client files to inspectors electronically. In order to inspect for MOSA, an inspector must have a computer, email, and the ability to edit PDFs and scan multi-page documents (either with a scanner or a smartphone app).
