- Pay: $26.33 - $42.13 / hour
- This position is responsible for keeping up with accreditation standards and projects. This role will assist the bariatric staff with obtaining prior authorizations to which this position is responsible for scheduling surgery. This position will create agendas for and direct by-weekly Metabolic and Bariatric Program Quality Improvement and Committee meetings while creating meeting minutes to send to staff. This position will work closely with the provider, the nursing staff, the PCR, and the AR for the clinic to ensure patient safety timeliness to surgery.
- This position works under the supervision of the Practice Manager and under the direction of the Provider, and is employed by Mosaic Life Care.
- Monitors the scheduling of patients and maintains timely flow of patients from Consult to surgery.
- Manages Accreditation criteria to ensure clinic/facility/program meets expectations set forth by governing agencies. Maintains and ensures compliance of all policies and procedures that guide and support the assigned services. These include, but are not limited to Joint Commission requirements, federal and state regulations, MBS-AQIP standards, regulatory standards, etc.
- Collaborates on an ongoing basis with Medical Director, clinic staff and providers, promoting positive communication techniques and the ability to problem solve at every level.
- Organizes and leads bi-weekly and quarterly bariatric meeting with Medical Director and necessary attendees.
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Medical license holders possess the minimum degree of competency required to ensure the health and safety of their patients. - See below under Licenses and Certifications requirement.
- Registered Healthcare Professional: Acceptable credentials include, but are not limited to: registered nurse (RN), etc. is required. Clinical\BCLS - Basic Life Support is required within 90 days.
- One year hospital or clinic experience is required. Prior experience in the field of Bariatrics strongly preferred (1 to 3 years preferably).
