- Pay: $60382.40 - $96616.00 / year
- This position is skilled in assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to assist the breastfeeding mother to attain her individual goals. This position functions as a member of the multi-disciplinary health care team as a consultant, educator, and mentor to nurses, healthcare professionals, and patients.
- This position is responsible to the Director of Pediatrics\Obstetric and is employed by Mosaic Health System.
- Serve as a clinical resource to all units within the hospital on issues related to breastfeeding.
- Conducts health education, psychosocial, nutritional assessments for breastfeeding patients on the Obstetric unit and in the Nursery.
- Assist in development and implementation of the breastfeeding plan of care.
- Assist in development of nursing standards in regards to breast-feeding infants and Lactating mothers.
- Coordinates breastfeeding support group/community outreach.
- Graduate of an School of Nursing; BSN required. International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) required within 6 months of hire.
- Currently RN licensed in the State of Missouri. BLS certification.
- The candidate must have three-years experience as an Obstetrical RN.
