Responsibilities:

• Monitoring and assessing processes that guide design, manufacturing, and operations.
• Ensure system safety engineering, environmental health and safety, product integrity and continuous improvement processes serve the organization's Mission and Vision.
• Develop and execute commercial quality processes for designing, testing, and manufacturing engines.
• Responsible for implementing quality initiatives supporting development and low-rate engine production.
• Solve sophisticated problems and provide operable solutions; act with minimal direction and take ownership, and be adaptable as we work on a variety of applications and systems.
• Establish, implement, maintain, and carry out quality system processes that support products in development and production environments.
• Measure, analyze, and improve quality system performance consistent with organization quality goals.
• Integrate quality system applications between engineering, manufacturing, and operations to ensure the consistent and ongoing use of quality best practices and communication of quality issues.
• Review and approve manufacturing build documents, including work orders and nonconformance records.
• Perform periodic audits of the application of our quality system in accordance with AS9100.
• Participate in engineering design reviews and make recommendations to improve the quality and manufacturability of new designs.
• Recommend initiatives and/or changes that will improve product and system quality.
• Provide quality assurance domain expertise to inspection, manufacturing, and testing for the Additive Manufacturing team.
• Collaborate with internal and external customers on quality-related concerns.
• Develop and present training materials to build quality awareness

Qualifications:

• B.S. in engineering/science or American Society of Quality, Certified Quality Engineer certification, 4 years’ proven experience in the engineering field with at least 3 years in a quality engineer role, and Quality Assurance experience in a production environment.
• Aerospace, space launch, or military or commercial aviation preferred Familiarity with AS9100 or ISO9000.
• Quality Management System and/or related quality systems and programs
• Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and strengthen our culture of inclusion
• Must be a U.S. citizen or national.
• U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
• Desired Skills:
• Engine Assembly QMS knowledge - AS9100 Transitioning products from development to production Maintenance,
