Title: Quality Specialist Location: Kent, WA Duration: 6 Months Extension Pay rate: $43/HR on W2 Description: 100% onsite. Shift timing: A Shift - 7 am-3:30 pm PST M-F Pre-screening questions:
What constitutes a non-conformance on a piece of hardware?
What is the appropriate process for dealing with a non-conformance once identified?
What if any additional information is required from engineering for quality to approve a Use As Is or Repair disposition?
We are looking for an individual who can support the quality initiatives around flight hardware and engine production. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention toward safe and repeatable spaceflight.
2 years' of quality inspection experience in a rocket engine production environment
Relevant experience in a start-up environment, transitioning a product from development, through production to operations
Relevant experience in AS9145, Advanced Product Quality Planning and Production Part Approval Process
3 years' of manufacturing and/or integration experience in an aviation/aerospace manufacturing environment
Aerospace, space launch, military or commercial aviation preferred - Internal auditing experience - Knowledge of aerospace/aviation / engine manufacturing processes
Knowledge of NDE and receiving inspection methodologies - Familiarity with AS9100 or ISO9000 Quality Management Systems and/or related quality systems and programs
Provide training and/or assistance to other team members in the use of quality acceptance processes, procedures, and/or tools
Serve as a 2nd set of eyes when performing inspections of internal flight hardware. As needed, support the review and inspection of supplier-related hardware
Document First Article Inspection Reports for internally produced hardware
Monitor SPC activities as necessary
Conduct process health assessments and internal audits for compliance with industry standards and provide ongoing objective evaluations of processes and documentation
Conduct follow-up and compliance audits to ensure process improvement and corrective/preventive action implementation and effectiveness
