What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Desk Agent position at Motel 6?
Associates with the Front Desk job title take reservations, check guests into rooms, and perform cleaning or other hospitality-related duties as assigned. Often standing on foot for long hours during shifts, guest service representatives must nevertheless exude inviting demeanors when assisting guests. These team members need to possess a well-rounded knowledge of the hotel lay-out in order to help visitors locate rooms or other areas of the building. Guest service employees may also need to assist guests by carrying baggage to rooms. Additional duties may vary depending on assigned work areas.
- Perform all check-in and check-out tasks
- Manage online and phone reservations
- Inform customers about payment methods and verify their credit card data
- Register guests collecting necessary information (like contact details and exact dates of their stay)
- Welcome guests upon their arrival and assign rooms
- Provide information about our hotel, available rooms, rates and amenities
- Respond to clients’ complaints in a timely and professional manner
- Liaise with our housekeeping staff to ensure all rooms are clean, tidy and fully-furnished to accommodate guests’ needs
- Confirm group reservations and arrange personalized services for VIP customers and event attendees, like wedding guests
- Upsell additional facilities and services, when appropriate
- Maintain updated records of bookings and payments

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.66 - $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
Schedule:
