About the Role: We are looking for a skilled Python Developer with strong DevOps experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in Python development combined with hands-on experience in DevOps practices. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining high-quality Python applications while also driving the automation, deployment, and management of infrastructure in a cloud environment.

Job Title: Software Engineer - DevOps

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, and maintain Python applications that are scalable, reliable, and efficient. The role will be 80% development and 20% troubleshooting.
• Push platform automation efforts to promote platform evolvement and stability to support business needs.
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate the deployment of applications across various environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement DevOps practices, including infrastructure as code, automated testing, and continuous integration.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize application performance and infrastructure, ensuring high availability and scalability.
• Manage and maintain cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.), including provisioning, configuration, and scaling.
• Develop and maintain configuration management scripts and tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, Chef, Puppet).
• Implement security best practices in the development and deployment process to protect applications and data.
• Collaborate with Cloud and Global Cyber Security teams representing platforms initiatives related to development, QA, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of new features and services.
• Participate in code reviews, provide technical guidance, and mentor junior team members.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 6 years of experience in Python development, with a strong understanding of Python frameworks (e.g., Django, Flask).
• Proven experience in DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipeline development, infrastructure as code, and automated testing.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Strong understanding of containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and familiarity with branching and merging strategies.
• Proficiency in scripting languages like Bash or PowerShell.

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience with serverless architectures and microservices.
• Knowledge of security best practices in cloud environments.

Location : Strong preference for candidates local and open to working hybrid onsite within the Greater Seattle area

Salary Range : The salary for this position is between $115,000 – $150,000 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
