Functions Summary
Clinical Education Specialist role involves strategically planning, coordinating, and executing educational in-services, presentations, and webinars. Working collaboratively with both the sales and education teams, you will play a crucial part in upholding and advancing Motion Composites’ reputation as an education leader in the complex rehabilitation industry. The primary focus is developing and implementing clinically relevant education programs, along with crafting compelling clinical case studies which highlight the benefits of Motion Composites products. Responsibilities extend to fostering and expanding sales of Motion Composites products within US and Canadian accounts.

· Office & travel requirements: Home office with the ability to travel outside of home office 50% of the year (up to 2 weeks a month). Travel territory includes Canada, the USA and occasionally opportunities for international locations.
· Computer skills: Must be proficient in use of MS Office, particularly Power Point, Excel, Word, SharePoint, internet, and email.
· Clinical Background: Occupational therapist or Physical therapist with background and knowledge in complex mobility equipment including seating and positioning, particularly with manual wheelchairs.
· Experience required: Minimum 5 years experience working directly with wheelchair assessment, prescription including wheelchair set up and basic maintenance. Knowledge of provincial/state funding programs for mobility equipment an asset.
· Presentation skills: Must be an excellent face-to-face communicator. Able to demonstrate success and experience presenting to large and small groups. Able to engage with the audience and relay clinical and company information in a clear, concise, and comfortable way.
ThE CHALLENGES THAT AWAIT YOU?
In collaboration with sales, management, marketing, and education teams you will:
· Plan, organize and execute in-services with rehab centers, hospitals and community health organizations in USA and Canada on a regular basis.
· Develop clinical evidence based best practice papers and presentations for national and international seating and mobility conferences, including CEU programs and case studies.
· Teach to clinicians and dealer representatives the value and benefits of Motion Composites products.
· Submit educational clinical presentations to major seating/therapist focused conferences and tradeshows to audiences of 10 to 200.
· Represent Motion Composites at tradeshow where you will meet clients including end users, vendors, other manufacturers, funding executives and possible business partners.
· Contribute to a multi-disciplinary approach with internal training objectives and education with customer service agents and Motion Composites sales representatives.
· Provide clinical and user-based insight on campaigns and documentation for accuracy and pertinence. As a subject matter expert, assist in defining needs of the market to help provide customers what they need to use and promote product.
· Collaborate with R&D engineering team in new product development, contributing knowledge, experience and personal ideas to new product projects. Review prototypes with customers, receive and summarize feedback for the R&D engineering team.
· Take a role in the planning, development and writing of editorial articles for leading mobility magazines and Motion Composites blog.
