Position Overview:
This client is an innovative education company, and they are seeking an experienced and driven Principle Software Engineer to join their team. You will report directly to the CEO and oversee the engineering group. This is an exciting opportunity to lead technical decisions, mentor team members, conduct code reviews, and implement best practices and standards for the engineering team. You will also be responsible for designing and implementing features for the clients flagship products, which boasts a rough estimate 10 million daily active users.

Responsibilities:

• Lead technical decisions and strategies for the engineering team.
• Mentor and guide team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices and standards.
• Design and implement new features for products.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Oversee the engineering group and report directly to the CEO.

Required Skills:

• 10 years of experience in back-end software development with a focus on web applications.
• Expertise in Python and Django for back-end development.
• Proficiency in front-end technologies, particularly React.
• Experience with cloud services, especially AWS.
• Strong knowledge of SQL databases.
• Proven experience in leading teams, mentoring engineers, and making technical decisions.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
