Key Responsibilities:
- Network Design and Implementation:
- Design, configure, and deploy enterprise-level Cisco network solutions tailored to our manufacturing environment.
- Implement network infrastructure upgrades and expansions to support the growth and technological advancements of our manufacturing operations.
- Network Management:
- Manage and maintain LAN/WAN infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and reliability to support our production lines and administrative functions.
- Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and perform regular maintenance to minimize downtime and enhance productivity.
- Security:
- Implement and manage network security protocols, firewalls, and VPNs to protect sensitive manufacturing data and intellectual property.
- Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability testing to safeguard our network from potential threats.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
- Experience:
- 7 years of experience in network engineering with a focus on Cisco technologies.
- Proven experience in a senior or lead network engineering role, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
- Technical Skills:
- Expertise in Cisco routing and switching (e.g., Nexus, Catalyst, ISR, ASR).
- Experience with Cisco security appliances (ASA, Firepower).
- Proficiency in network design, implementation, and troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, etc.).
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Cisco Prime, etc.).
- Experience with wireless network technologies (Cisco Wireless LAN Controller).
- Certifications:
- Cisco certifications such as CCNP, CCIE are highly preferred.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and lead projects.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Specific experience in a manufacturing environment with a deep understanding of its unique networking requirements.
- Knowledge of ITIL practices and methodologies.
- Experience with SD-WAN and network automation tools.
